Cherry’s Diary
Today is Friday. We still have a detailed plan to do. Breakfast was still the same.
I ate two croissants and a cup of milk. It was tasty,but I thought it was easy to get fat.
After returning to my dorm, I received a message that we were going to lesson at 9,
which is great because I can take a break. I have finished memorizing my vocabulary. We went to the institute.
During the lesson, Ms. Serika first asked about the things we had done yesterday.
Unfortunately, I spent the whole day in my dorm since my knee was hurting.
Then she shared her life in Cambridge and the differences she thinks between Cambridge college and other UK colleges.
It sounds interesting because that’s the purpose I came to this camp:to explore what life is like in a college in the UK.
And she told us that if you are a Cambridge student, you are provided accommodation for 3 years and food.
But after that, if you keep staying in the college, you have to rent a house yourself.
After 11 a.m., the class finished, and we went to a shop and bought snacks.
Because these days, lunch is always sandwiches. It’s delicious though, but dull.
We saw the fusilli, which looked tasty, so we bought two to have as our lunch for today.
It’s good, but we couldn’t find a place to heat up the food, that’s disappointed.
As expected, the lunch was sandwiches, but today, they heated the sandwiches, which were quite delicious,
but at that time we were already full. We went back to the dorm and took a rest.
In the afternoon, we went back to the academy and had a lesson as usual.
The topic for this lesson was different-It was my favorite part:debating.
The topic was whether social media make children less socially active.
I had to choose the side I didn’t like, but we got enough time to prepare.
During that time, I came up with plenty of ideas and examples which fully support my side.
I felt nervous when expressing my ideas, but it still went successfully. I like debates, but I also don’t.
Because everything is two-sided, even though we have got enough evidence to support our argument,
we can’t fully say something is 100% correct. Just like today’s topic,
though we realize that social media do have more negative effects on human behavior, we can’t live without them.
It only depends on how we use then. I just realized that today is the last lesson that Ms. Serika will teach us.
I like this kind of lesson, because I learn a lot from her.
And I told her that there is 1% probability that we will see each other again in Cambridge after a few years.
We visited another college after that. It’s quite big, but my knee hurt a little, so I found a chair and took a rest.
We took some pictures and wondered around. Finally, we went back to our dorm.
We followed the mobile navigation and returned to the hotel.
Today’s dinner is tasty and cheesy, it’s a traditional dish in the UK——fish and chips.
It’s delicious,but I didn’t eat that much since I’m afraid I'll have a sore throat.
For tonight, we can choose whether staying in the dorm or having a walk outside.
I am sleepy so I just stayed in the hotel. In conclusion, today is a day full of activities.
It makes everyone tired but happy since we are staying with friends. And Happy birthday to Kale.

今天是星期五，我們還有一個(gè)詳細(xì)的計(jì)劃要完成。早餐還是和以往一樣，我吃了兩個(gè)牛角面包和一杯牛奶，非常美味，但我認(rèn)為它很容易讓人發(fā)胖?；氐剿奚岷?，我收到消息說我們9點(diǎn)要上課，這太好了，因?yàn)槲铱梢杂谐湓５臅r(shí)間休息一下了。因?yàn)槲乙呀?jīng)背完了我的學(xué)習(xí)單詞。在研究所上課時(shí)，Serika老師首先問我們昨天做了什么。不幸的是，因?yàn)槲业南ドw受傷，我在宿舍里待了一整天。然后她向我們講述了她在劍橋的生活，以及她認(rèn)為劍橋大學(xué)與其他英國大學(xué)的不同之處，這聽起來很有趣。因?yàn)檫@就是我參加夏令營游學(xué)的目的：探索英國大學(xué)的生活是什么樣的。她告訴我們，如果你是劍橋的學(xué)生，你有三年的住宿，他們?yōu)槟闾峁┎褪?，但在那之后，如果你繼續(xù)留在學(xué)校，你必須自己租房子。
上午11點(diǎn)下課后，我們?nèi)ド坛I零食。因?yàn)楝F(xiàn)在的午餐都是三明治，雖然味道很好，但是很乏味。我們看到了意大利面條，它看起來蠻好吃的，所以我們買了兩個(gè)作為今天的午餐，非常美味！但是我們找不到地方加熱食物，真讓人難過。不出所料，今天午餐還是三明治，雖然味道很棒但那時(shí)我們已經(jīng)吃飽了。我們回到宿舍休息了一下。
下午，我們像往常一樣回到學(xué)校上課。這節(jié)課的主題與往常不同，是我最喜歡的部分——辯論。這個(gè)話題是關(guān)于社交媒體是否會讓孩子的社交活躍度降低。我被迫選擇了我不喜歡的一方，但我們有足夠的時(shí)間來準(zhǔn)備。在這段時(shí)間里，我想出了很多想法和案例，可以充分支持我的立場。當(dāng)我表達(dá)觀點(diǎn)時(shí)，雖然我會感到緊張，但辯論進(jìn)行得很順利。我喜歡辯論，但也不喜歡。因?yàn)槲艺J(rèn)為凡事都是雙面的，即使我們有足夠的論據(jù)來支撐我們的論點(diǎn)，我們也不能完全說它是100%正確的。就像今天的話題一樣，盡管我們意識到社交媒體確實(shí)對人類行為有負(fù)面影響，但我們的生活已經(jīng)離不開它了。這取決于我們?nèi)绾问褂盟?。我意識到今天是Serika老師教我們的最后一課了。我喜歡這些課，因?yàn)槲覐乃抢飳W(xué)到了很多。我甚至告訴她，幾年后我們有1%的可能性會在劍橋再見面。
之后，我們參觀了另一所大學(xué)。球場很大，不過我的膝蓋有點(diǎn)疼，所以我找了張椅子休息了一下。在此期間我們隨處逛了逛，拍了一些照片。
隨后我們便回到了酒店。今天的晚餐不僅有美味食物還有和奶酪，這是英國的傳統(tǒng)菜——炸魚和薯?xiàng)l。雖然很好吃，但我沒吃那么多，因?yàn)槲遗潞韲低础＝裢?，我們可以選擇是待在宿舍里還是出去散步。因?yàn)槲矣悬c(diǎn)犯困，所以就呆在旅館里?？傊?，今天是充滿活動(dòng)的一天。游學(xué)讓每個(gè)人都很累，但很高興，因?yàn)槲液团笥褌円黄饝c祝卡萊生日。
