"If you miss Dongmen Traditional Street, you have never been to Shenzhen." Dongmen Pedestrian Street is one of the most representative business districts of Shenzhen and has become a regional symbol.

In Dongmen Street, there is not only prosperous business, but also a profound cultural heritage. In order to let our international friends know Dongmen better and live in Dongmen more conveniently, as well as better integrate into the community life, CPC Community Service Center of Dongmen Street has established a English corner.

在解放路和人民路的交匯處，身后是一桿立于天地之間的秤和秤砣。你知道這是用來(lái)做什么的嗎？這是中國(guó)用來(lái)衡量重量的工具，有近千年的歷史，現(xiàn)在在一些地區(qū)的菜市場(chǎng)中仍然很常見(jiàn)。這里的秤桿和秤砣有著特殊的意義，商家在市場(chǎng)交易中只有公平誠(chéng)信才能生意興隆。
Now we are standing at the intersection of Jiefang Road and Renmin Road. What behind us is a huge scale and a weight. Do you know what they stand for?

1990年，中國(guó)內(nèi)地第一家麥當(dāng)勞落地深圳東門(mén)，開(kāi)業(yè)當(dāng)天，該餐廳以46萬(wàn)元?jiǎng)?chuàng)下當(dāng)時(shí)麥當(dāng)勞單天營(yíng)業(yè)額的全球紀(jì)錄。
In1990, the first McDonald's in mainland China landed in Dongmen, Shenzhen. On the opening day, the restaurant set a global record of 460,000-yuan turnover in single-day.

在東門(mén)，有一家店叫“東升源”，寓意財(cái)源生生不息，是一家有著100多年歷史的老店，店里的婚慶用品很受年輕人歡迎。這里的新娘唐裝禮服、頭飾、紅布鞋、紅馬夾等，全是人工刺繡、釘珠和鑲嵌膠片，金光閃閃，古香古色。很多年輕人喜歡穿這樣古風(fēng)的服裝來(lái)拍婚紗照。
This shop is called"Dong Sheng Yuan", which means endless wealth. It is an old shop with a history of more than100 years. The wedding products in the shop are very popular among young people.
You can see these Tang-Dynasty-style bride dress, headdress, red cloth shoes, red jacket and so on. These embroidery and decoration with glittering and antique color are all hand-made.
Many young people like to take their wedding photos in such ancient clothes. It’s very special.

東門(mén)沿街商鋪的叫賣(mài)聲、戲院里的戲曲、街邊美食檔飄出的香味、打卡拍照的游客、排隊(duì)購(gòu)物的消費(fèi)者……來(lái)到東門(mén)可以感受到深圳的煙火氣息、市井氛圍。
傳統(tǒng)與時(shí)尚并存，改造后的東門(mén)國(guó)際化街區(qū)正持續(xù)煥發(fā)生機(jī)。
The vendor’s hawking along the Dongmen street, the opera in the theater, the fragrance wafted from the food stalls on the street, the sound of camara of tourists who are taking pictures, the consumers queuing for shopping... These scenes and sounds compose Dongmen Street, where you can see the all kinds of lives and passionate atmosphere of Shenzhen.
Traditions coexist with fashion in the transformed Dongmen International Block. It is continuously glowing with vitality.
